MINUTES OF THE NiEET!ING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE <br />V1LLA.GE OF LITTLE CANADA <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Council of the Village of Lit- <br />tle Canada was held at the little Canada Firc 1ia11 on Tuesday, ;July <br />~, 1955 at 7;30 p,I~, The foilovring Council members were present; <br />Louis W, Melan.con, Mayor; Roy P, Nadeau, Clerk; <br />Edward R. Loeffler, Carl Spooner; Trustees. <br />John M, Vitale, Trustee, was absent. Also present was Fred F. Memrner, <br />Vi1la.ge Attorney, <br />Nlinutes of the regular meeting of June 7th and sper.ial meet- <br />ings of June 111.th and 21st were approved as read. <br />Mr< S.F,dward Ericson complimented th.e Council for denying <br />a license to Mrs. Crrace Green and stated that the Council should be <br />very careful as to whom a license should be issued at the Aragon< <br />Mr. 0. F. Zepp of 115 E, Little Canada Road asked the Coun- <br />cil what action had been taken with reference to a trailer at 2610 <br />Park Street. After some discussion, upon motion by Nadeau, secara.ded <br />by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED. That Nlr, Arthur Dickhut, 2610 Parlc <br />Street, be notified that maintenance of living <br />quarters in a trailer is contrary.to th.e building <br />code and zoning laws of the Village," <br />Ayes - l~ Nays - 0 <br />The resolution.vras adopted. Mr. 7egp requested that a copy of that <br />letter he sent to him. <br />Mr„ Sa Edward Ericson stated that there is an. advertising <br />bulletin board at Edgerton and Little Canada Road and one also at <br />Edgert~ n and County Roaci D anal that the Council should write to the <br />owners of these signs notifying them that they are not in compliance <br />with the local building code and zoning lays. Mr. Ericson4s request <br />was received and the Mayor instructed the Clerk to write such 1ett.ers. <br />Mr. I1Qemmer presented a contrac4: between the Village and the <br />St. Paul Water Department for ronstruction of a street across the <br />water works right-of-way East of Nlcti4enemy Street slightly North of <br />the section. line along which County Road I32 would run. if it were <br />graded through, The contract was approved anal upon motion by Spooner <br />seconded by Loeffler, it vras <br />"RESOLVED, That the Mayor and the Clerk be and <br />are Hereby instructed and authorized to execute the <br />can.tract with the City of St. Paul Water Department <br />as presented." <br />Ayes - 1~ Nays -- n <br />The resolution was a.dopted... , <br />
