Regular Meeting - ,Aly 5, 1955 <br />Upon motion by Loeffler, seconded by Nadeau, it was <br />t1RESOLVED, That Henry Auge be aut]-iorized to <br />receive a building permit to construct a basement <br />home on Austr°alian Avenue with the understanding <br />that the superstructure be completed within two <br />(2) years." <br />Ayes - 1} Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Upon motion by Spoonez~, seconded by Nadeau, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the Village Gouncil initiate <br />action and set a date for hearing to rezone the <br />property lying betvreen the Fire liatl anal St. John's <br />Cemetery to Commercial and the Clerk is hereby in- <br />structed to publish notices of hearing, said hear- <br />ing to be held. on August 2, 1955." <br />Ayes - L~. Nays - 0 <br />The resolution wa.s adopted. <br />ivir. Joseph Ducharme indicated that he had a complaint to <br />make vrith reference-, to the issuance of a building permit to his son- <br />inPiaw, Fred Rosauer. He explained that his sonwin-lava got a build 3.n.g <br />permit and thaf. Robert Londin., Acting Buiidzng Inspector, demanded <br />that he take out a contractor's license when Mr. Rosauer explained <br />that he was building the house himself. Mr. Rosauer paid the ~~12.00. <br />The Council asked Mr. Memmer for an opinion and they were informed <br />that it is not proper and the code does not require that a property <br />ovrner take out a contractor's license to build a house himself. <br />Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by C~[elancon, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the Treasurer and Cler]t be and <br />arc hereby authorized and instructed to issue a re- <br />fund check. in the amount; of .12.00 to Mr. Fred <br />Rosauer for li<;ense fees improperly collected by <br />the .Building Inspector„" <br />Ayes - L;..
