MINUTES of sPLCIAL MEETING <br />OF T]iE VI LL,AGk~ COUNCIL. OF <br />'i'}iE VILLAGE OF LITTLE CAAIADEI <br />Pursuant, to notir.e, a special meeting of the Council of the <br />Village of Little Canada was held on Tuesday, September 27, 19,`5 at <br />7.00 P.M, at, the L,itt.l.e Canada Fire Bail. The following members were <br />pr esente <br />Louis PJ. Melancan, Mayor; Roy P. Nadeau, Cleric; <br />Edward R. Loeffler, Cari Spooner, John M. Vitale, <br />Trustees. <br />Fred I'. I~Qemmer, Village Attorney, was also present.. <br />The Clerk presented a communicai,i<m from', Norris O. Hal.vocson, <br />Ramsey County land Commissioner, concerning i;he following described <br />property: Lots 1111-, ~-~-5, and t1.6 in Block 1?_, North Heights, and also <br />part of the following described tract covered by water of Savage Laise, <br />Beginning at northeast. corner of John E. Eisenmc:ngeros 4-th Additi.on; <br />thence southeasterly on Little Canada Road 2.25 fC; thence south to <br />south line of Section 6; thence west t,o southeast corner of said addi- <br />tion; thence north to be,ginni.ng, in SEA of Sec. 6, T. 29, R. ?_2. The <br />purpose of Che commun.icat.ion from Norris Halvorson was to release the <br />property for public sale by approving the land as non-conservation land. <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Spooner, the following <br />resolution was adopted: <br />"R~HIREAS, 'Phe Board of Count'.y Commissioners of <br />Ramsey County by resolution dated August. 29, 1955, <br />classif.'ie:d as nonconservation land certain parcels of <br />lancJ lying within the Village of Little Canada, and <br />"wl1IRF;AS, A certified copy of the ci.assifi.cation <br />resclut.ion together with a list of the lands classified <br />has been submitted for approval of the classificat-ion <br />and sale of th.e land classified in accordance vaith <br />M.S.A., Section 28?_, 01, Subdivision 1; <br />"NOW, THEREFORE, BE LT RESOLVED That the ciassifi- <br />cat.ion of the land shown on said list as nonconserva- <br />tion land a.nd the sale thereof be and hereby is approved; <br />and <br />"BE IT FL1[2'1'HF,R RESOL_V>;'D That the Village Clerk be <br />and hereby is directed to file, a cer°tified copy of this <br />resolution in the Office of the County Auditor." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays ~ 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. Ntemmer explained to the Council t.haC any governing body <br />or municipality has the right under the statute to request. of the I..and <br />
