Nleetin.g _ February 1, 195'7 `- <br />letter t.o submit its proposed rental fees for those <br />purposes, such proposal by the Fire Department to be <br />also submitted in the form of a ].eater." <br />Ayes -~ 1} Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />L7pon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RT;SGI.VF.,D, That from and after this date any <br />business to. he negotiated between the Fire Department <br />and the Village Council is to be done exclusively by <br />letter anti that no verbal statements of any officer, <br />employee or agent of the Viliaye will have any weight <br />or effect with reference to such business and that <br />the Fire DeparE;raent. be notified that hereafter when- <br />ever the Village has any proposal or arrangement or <br />any rnat.ter whatsoever to submit to the Fire Depart- <br />ment, it wail be done so in writing and that all oral <br />staCernents made by officers, employees or agents of <br />the 1liilage are to be ignored." <br />Ayes - !~ Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />The Council them discussed the matter of use of the Fire <br />Hail. and the Clerl~ was instructed to send a letter to tl~ Fire De- <br />partment advising them that the Council would like to have the use <br />of the premises for its regular meetings on the second Wednesday of <br />each rnonth and also for such special meetings as may occur during <br />the year, the dates to be mu.tualiy agreed upon; that the Council <br />would also prefer to change the voting place for the Village from <br />Little Canada School to the Fire Hall and that such elect:ions would <br />arcur regula.riy on th.e first Tuesday after the first Monday in Decem- <br />ber of each year, the Primary election in September of each even nwn- <br />bered year, the General Election. in November of each even numbered <br />year, and the Presidential Primary Election in Ufarrh of every presi- <br />dential election year; and also that the Clerkrs letter advise the <br />Fire Department. of the resolution of th.e Village whereby all matters <br />hereafter discussed with the Fire Department shall be in writing. <br />T}ie Clerl~ read a letter from Ray Vecellio, Public Examiner, <br />which was duly placed in the file and the Clerk was instructed to <br />reply to A4r. Ver.eilio by sending him the proper form requesting an <br />audit. <br />The Clerk read a Setter from ,lames Swan, Deputy County <br />Auditor, concerning road and bridge fund apportionment. <br />The Clerk read a letter from John E. Blomquist Company re- <br />questing the Village to use, its best efforts to encourage that. the <br />Board o:f Count.y Commissioners erect a bridge on Larpenteur Avenue over <br />the Soo line tracks about two blocks West oP Edgerton. <br /> <br />
