regular Meeting _ February i'3, 19'7 <br />present time the counr.ils of both St. Paul and Minneapolis are engaged <br />in revising their lir.ensiny and inspection procedures and it would <br />probably be adviseable to hold in abeyance anything pertaining to li- <br />censing until the actions of the two major cities are, completed and <br />can he studied. <br />The Clerl{ read a letter from the Public Exam.ner stating that <br />the Public hxaminer has received the request of the Village for exami- <br />nation of Village a:counts and that i. t, will probably be five or six <br />months before the work can be commenced. The Public Examiner has placed <br />the Villagers request in his file for action as soon as possible, <br />'Phere was some discussion about the matter of public employeesr <br />retirement association pension benefits. The Village Attorney suggested <br />i,hat this matter be held over until the end of the Legislative Session <br />to see what changes the legislature mares in the P.E.r.A. system. <br />The Clerlr. informed the Council that ever since the Village <br />was incorporated, he has been receiving requests from the Minnesota <br />I_.eagur; of Municipalities to have Little Canada become a member of that <br />group.
