Regular Meeting .- July 10, 1957 <br />"RESOLVED, That the Clerk be and is hereby <br />authorized to arrange for the purchase of a warn- <br />ing sign to be erected at County Road B and Edger- <br />ton, together with such other points as he deems <br />necessary, not to exceed five (5} signs in all." <br />Ayes - !1_ Nays - 0 <br />Th.e resolution was adopted. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That hereafter all complaints re- <br />garding dogs be submitted to the Council together <br />with the names and addresses of the complainants <br />and that any complainant refusing to give his name <br />and address is to be ignored." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />The question of policing boats, water skiing and other <br />activities on Lake Gervais was discussed at considerable length. <br />The Council's attention was directed to the fact that the Sheriff <br />has offered to deputize volunteer police for lake police duty. <br />Upon motioai by Vitale, seconded by Spooner, it was <br />"RESOL.IrED, That the Council take whatever steps <br />are necessary to encourage a_nd bring about the forma- <br />tion of a volunteer lake police group in cooperation <br />with the Sheriffes office." <br />Ayes - !~_ Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the sum of Four Thousand and <br />00100 (~6Ia.,000.00) Dollar°s be transfer r.ed from the <br />General Fund to the Street Fund," <br />Ayes - t~. Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. A9emme.r, Village Attorney, explainec'~ that at a recent <br />audit made by the Public Examiner pursuant to the Council's '.request <br />of January, 1957, the auditors found certain items requiring correc- <br />tion. One of these was the fact that the minutes name as the village <br />depository "Payne Avenue State Bank" whereas this should be "First <br />State Bank oi' St. Paul". Also, certain ordinances required correc- <br />tion in order to comply with. the accepted policies of the Gouncil.. <br />One of these was the policy of not requiring bonds for licensees and <br />°- 3 - <br />
