Regular Meeting .- July 10, 1957 "RESOLVED, That the Clerk be and is hereby authorized to arrange for the purchase of a warn- ing sign to be erected at County Road B and Edger- ton, together with such other points as he deems necessary, not to exceed five (5} signs in all." Ayes - !1_ Nays - 0 Th.e resolution was adopted. Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Loeffler, it was "RESOLVED, That hereafter all complaints re- garding dogs be submitted to the Council together with the names and addresses of the complainants and that any complainant refusing to give his name and address is to be ignored." Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 The resolution was adopted. The question of policing boats, water skiing and other activities on Lake Gervais was discussed at considerable length. The Council's attention was directed to the fact that the Sheriff has offered to deputize volunteer police for lake police duty. Upon motioai by Vitale, seconded by Spooner, it was "RESOL.IrED, That the Council take whatever steps are necessary to encourage a_nd bring about the forma- tion of a volunteer lake police group in cooperation with the Sheriffes office." Ayes - !~_ Nays - 0 The resolution was adopted. Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Vitale, it was "RESOLVED, That the sum of Four Thousand and 00100 (~6Ia.,000.00) Dollar°s be transfer r.ed from the General Fund to the Street Fund," Ayes - t~. Nays - 0 The resolution was adopted. Mr. A9emme.r, Village Attorney, explainec'~ that at a recent audit made by the Public Examiner pursuant to the Council's '.request of January, 1957, the auditors found certain items requiring correc- tion. One of these was the fact that the minutes name as the village depository "Payne Avenue State Bank" whereas this should be "First State Bank oi' St. Paul". Also, certain ordinances required correc- tion in order to comply with. the accepted policies of the Gouncil.. One of these was the policy of not requiring bonds for licensees and °- 3 -
