Regular N~eeting - November ice, 1957 <br />The t:ler'k read a letter from Eugene t~onick, County Auditor, <br />calling the at Pent ion of fihe Council to the fact than fhe Board of <br />County Commissioner's is interested in developing recreation areas <br />throughout the counf~y. This letter requested that the local govern- <br />ing body offer suggestions it may have as to the acquisition and de•~ <br />veloprnerrt of recreation lands by the county. Thi_; !ett~er~ was received <br />and placed on file. <br />T'he Clerk read a letter from Harry Costello, Jr., wr-itfen on <br />bei~aif of his mother who ovrr~s the property afon,c, Edger'ron Street' Ott <br />the West shore of I_a!<e 6ervais where three ofd cottages are located. <br />Mir. Costello stated in his letter that his mother has made arrangements <br />to have these cottages removed and they vrill be removed very soon. <br />This letter was received and placed vn filed <br />lJpon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Vitale, it eras <br />"RESOLVED, That the Clerk be and is hereby in- <br />structed to write to the Doard of County Commissioners <br />suggesting to them that the Costello property on fhe <br />West shore of Lake Gervais would make an excellent <br />recreation area and requesting the Ccwrty E3oard to <br />consider acquisition of that property." <br />Aye:, - 'j Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />The Treasurer reported that the Villa,c,e now has on deposit <br />in fhe First State E3ank approximately i~>I)1.,000.00.
