The fol7.owing Council members ~•rere present: <br />Louis 41. Melancon, Mayor; Roy P< Nadeau, C7.erk; <br />Ed~•rard Z.oeffler, Carl. Spooner, John Pd. Vitale, <br />Trustees. <br />Also present were C~7alter Coenen, Treasurer; Louis Jespersen, Road Superintendent; <br />and rt.°ed P. b9ermner, Village Attorney, <br />Minu't;es of i;he meeting oJ:' ;Io~!end~er 7.3, ).957 ,ro'-c a,1~l:roved as read, <br />'1'he Clerlc read a letter from the County Engineer to the effect that <br />street lights within the Village of Little Canada located. at the interseci;ions <br />of county roads and village streets Trill cost ~;?_00.00 per year and that after <br />,7anuary 1, 1858 the village mill be billed .100.00 as its share of expense for <br />those 1igYz'ts. The letter was received and placed on file, <br />The Clerlc read a copy of a letter he had written to the Right Reverend <br />Durand regarding i;raffir. i;hsough. the church parlcing lot. This 1etl;er was a7.so <br />p7.a.ced on file. <br />The Clerlc also read. a lei;ter from Sheriff G9.bbons and one from the <br />Couni;y Treasurer, Otto Rohland, Jr „ both dealing with routine matters. These <br />letters were also placed. on file. <br />The C7.erlc.reported the fo].:I.owing results of the Village election held <br />on December 3, 195'7: <br />D4ayor <br />houis 47. b4elancon . . . .322 votes <br />No opposition <br />Louis Cd.
