MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF LYTTLE CANADA <br />~ * ~ <br />The regular meeting of the Council oP the Village of Little Canada was <br />held at the Little Canada Fire Hall on Wednesday, August 13, 1958, at 7:30 P.M. 'Phe <br />Following Council members were present: <br />Louis W. Melancon, Mayor; Roy P. Nadeau, Clerk; <br />Edward Loeffler, Carl Spooner, John M. Vitale, <br />Trustees. <br />Also present were Walter Coenen, Treasurer; Frederick P. Memmer, Village Attorney; <br />and Oscar F. Londin, Building Inspector. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of July 9th were approved as read. <br />The Clerk reported that proper notices were posted pertaining to the re- <br />zoning petition of Marcel Gagne and that said petition was now up for hearing. The <br />Mayor asked if any persons wore present who ob,~ected to the proposed rezoning. Mr. <br />Floyd Patten of 222 E. Little Canada Road, an aPFected property owner, asked some <br />questions and aFter discussion, there appeared to be no ob;Jections. <br />Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Loeffler, 1t was <br />"RESOLVED, That tixe petition of Marcel Gagne and Margaret <br />Gagne, having been duly received in proper form and notice of <br />hearing having been duly posted according to law for hearing <br />on August 13, 1958, the following described property be and <br />is hereby rezoned from FARM RESYDENTIAL to COMMERCIAL: <br />"That part oP the Southeast Quarter (SE?) of Section 6, <br />Township 29 North, Rsnge 22 West, described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the northerly line of St. Paul <br />and Kettle River Road 1295.50 Peet due east from west line <br />of southeast quarter of said Section 6; thence north and <br />parallel to west line of said southeast quarter 420.25 ft. <br />thence to the right at an angle oP 102°22' a distance oP <br />271.95 Ft. more or less to the center line of Gagne Road; <br />thence South on the said center line to the Northerly <br />line of said St. Paul and Kettle River Road; thence North- <br />westerly along said Northerly road line to the point oP <br />beginning." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. Henry Facklam oP 777 LaBore Road appeared before the Council with <br />reference to a proposed subdivision oP property owned by Ernest Ehnstrom. lie was <br />told that the Council could take no action on this matter unless and until Ehnstrom <br />actually presented a proposed plat For approval and that iP such plat involved Fack- <br />lam's land in any way, it would have to have the approval of Mr. Facklam as well as <br />that of Mr. Ehnstrom. <br />
