MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF TtIE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE <br />t~ILLAGE OF LITTLE CANADA. <br />* ~~k <br />The regular meeting oi' the Council of the Village o£ Little Canada was <br />held at the Liti:le Canada Fire Fall on Wednesday, September 10, 1958, at 7:30 P,M, <br />The following Council members wore present: <br />Louis W, Melancon, Mayor; Roy P. Nadeau, Clerk; <br />Edward Lceffler, John M, Vitale, Trustees. <br />Carl Spooner, Trustee, was absent. Also present were Walter Coenen, Treasurer; <br />Fred P. Memmer, Village Attorney; Louis Jespersen, Road Superintendent; and Oscar <br />I'. Londin, building Inspector. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of August 13, 1958 and the special <br />meeting of August 20, 1958 were approved as read. <br />ri4r. Victor Gordon of 11 E. Little Canada Road and Mike Frattalone ap- <br />peared before the Council to x•equest permission for Mr. Frattaloxxe to maintain <br />stock piles of black dirt on Mr. Gordon°s property on the North side of Little <br />Canada Road immediately West of the Soo Line Railroad right-of-way. Mr. John <br />Smith, who lives on the South side of Little Canada Road in th3.s neighborhood, <br />stated that he did not favor the use of Gordon's property for stock piling black <br />dirt, P,fter some discussion, all parties agreed that if 5l% or more of all pro- <br />perty owners within 500 £t. of Gordon's property were willing to have dirt stock <br />piled there, the Village Council would permit such an operation. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Nadeau, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That if Mr. Victor Gordon procures a petition signed <br />by 51% or more o£ all owners ofi property within 500 ft. of his pro- <br />perty approving the use of Cordon's property for stock piling black <br />dirt and such petition is procured prior to the next regular meet- <br />ing of the Village Council, the ri9ayor may author°ize this use sub- <br />,~ect to the undersf.andi.ng that if such stock piling of black dirt <br />does actually create a nuisance to surrounding property owners, <br />the use will be terminated." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. James Lentsch of 660 E. County Road D. requested permission to main- <br />tain a dog kennel at his Ixome premises. 'Phe Clerk read the dog kennel ordinance <br />and stated that he would give Mr. Lentsch a copy of it, <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That a hearing on the petition of Mr. James Lentsch, <br />G60 E. County Road D., to obtain a license for the maintenance of <br />a dog kennel on his property be set for public hearing on October <br />H, 1958 at 8;00 P.M." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />
