MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OB' THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF LITTLE CANADA <br />~ ~ ~ <br />'Ihe regular meeting of the Council of the Village of Little Canada <br />was held at the Little Canada Fire Hall on Wednesday, February 11, 1959, at 7;30 P.M. <br />The following Council Members were present; <br />Louis W. Melancon, 1,9ayor; Walter F. Coenen, Clerk; <br />Carl Spooner, John M. Vitale, Trustees. <br />Edward R. Loeffler, Trustee was absent. Also present were Fredericlc P, Memmer, <br />Village Attorney; and Louis Jespersen, Road Superintendent. Oscar F. Londin, Build- <br />ing Tnspector was absent. <br />Rlinutes of the regular meeting of January 14, 1959 and the special <br />meeting of January 21, 1959 were approved as read. <br />Mr. Richard Boss, appointed as Treasurer, appeared before the Council <br />and was sworn in to office by Mayor Melancon. <br />h4r. Roy Wilson of Rice Street and County Road B-2, presented a pro- <br />posed plat of property which he owns on the South side of Demont road bordering the <br />East Right-of-Way line of the new Interstate Freeway. Mr. Wilson's attention was <br />called to the fact that the street designated otx his Plat as Westminister sixould he <br />Morrison Street in order to conform with Rlorrisotx Street on the North side of Demont, <br />The plat also had the Southern Street named as South Street, wlxi.ch is actually in line <br />with County Road B-2. This brought up a discussion of Flower Street, which is also <br />in direct line with County Road B-2. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Spooner, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the name of Flower Street be and is <br />is hereby changed to County Road B-2, and the Clerk is <br />instructed to forward notification of this change to the <br />County Auditor, County Engineer, and the Post Office <br />Department." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Tlxere was then some discussion about tlxe construction and surfacing <br />of streets in the new Plat. The Council directed Don Carley, Village Engineer, to <br />make a study of street costs for construction and surfacing in Wilson's Plat and <br />to present such information to the Council at the next Regular Meeting. <br />Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the proposed Plat of Wilson's Additt~ion <br />be and is hereby approved as presented with the undex•standing <br />that the streets named thereon as Westminister and South <br />be respectively changed to Morrison and County Boad B-2. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted <br />
