Rogular Meetiug - February 11, 1959 <br />Mr, Joseph Rosenthal appeared before the Council and called attention <br />to the fact that the street drainage at the end of Iona Lane has been so constructed <br />by Mr, Clarence Lee, tlxe Developer, that the drainpipe ends on his East lot line <br />at about the center of the lot, thus discharging strom water so that i.t runs diagonally <br />across Rosenthal'.s lot before it reaches Round Lake. After some discussion, this <br />matter was referred to Mr, Don Carley, Village Engineer, for investigation and report. <br />The Clerk read a petition from Mr, & hors. William Klein for re-zoning <br />their property at 2930 Rice Street from Farm Residential to Commercial. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Coenen, i.t was <br />°RESOLVED, That the petition for He-7.oning presented <br />by Mr, & Mrs. Klein he and is hereby set for hearing on <br />Tuesday, February 24, 1959 at 7 o'clock P.M. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The resbLution was adopted, <br />The Clerk read a letter from the County Board pertaining to sewage <br />disposal effluent: running upon street right-of-way at Highway #36 and Arcade <br />Street. R9r. Clem Bougie, membex• of the Village Health Board, reported to the Uouncil <br />that he had contacted the owners of the property in question, and that these owners <br />who have recently purchased this property told him that they understood the State <br />Highway Department had damaged the drainfield sometime ago and that the State was <br />supposed to correct the damage, <br />Mr. Memmer, Village Attorney, read a letter that he had received from <br />District Engineer RicCubrey of the State Highway Department. <br />Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the Village Health Board members be <br />and are hereby instructed to make a complete survey of the <br />Village, and report back to the Council, the names of the <br />owners and the location of all properties in the Village <br />where sewage disposal effluent 1s running on the suPface of <br />the ground, and; that when such report has been made that <br />the Council take steps to contact all owners and require <br />repairs as soon as work can feasibly be donethis Spring." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The x•esbd,utfon was adopted. <br />The Clerlc was instructed to send a letter to the County Board notify- <br />ing them of action taken with reference to the problem on Highway #36 and Arcade <br />Street. <br />Mr, Memmer, Village Attorney, was instructed to contact the State <br />Highway Department and advise that department of the statement made by the property- <br />owner on Highway #36 and Arcadd Street. <br />Mr. Don Carley, Village Engineer, presented a report concerning the <br />drainage on Flower Street. The Village Clerk read a written report by Mr. Carley. <br />° 2 - <br />
