Regular Meeting• - R4arch 11, 1959 <br />Upon 64mti.on by Spooner, seconded by Vil:ale, it was <br />'~ItESOLVED, tkxat 'the C7.erk be and is hereby authorised <br />and directed to send a letter Lo Lixe Board of County <br />Commissioners o:f' Ramsey County, requesting that Little <br />Canada Road be ro-graded from St. Johh's Cemetery, Eastward <br />to Edgerton 6treet, so as to improve drainage and to <br />remove the sharp grade in that area, <br />ANA FURTRER, that the Clerk requost that; the Arc <br />light now at the intersection of Noel Arrive and Little <br />Canada Road be moved to a point approximately ].UO feet <br />East of that intersection." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays _ 0 <br />The rosolut:ion was adopted. <br />A4ayor hfel.ancon repvrteci that: many dogs are congregating around the <br />public school grounds and the grounds of. St. Johh's Church and School. Mr, rifemnter, <br />Vi,llag'c Attorney, szzggesi:ed that the schoo:L authorities, bus drivers, and others, be <br />requested to f.'ind out, if possible, tlxe names and addresses o:C the owners of these <br />dogs, so the Village can notify these people that they are permitting' i:hanselves to <br />become subject to arrest and :fine for Dog Ordinance violation. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Coenen, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that the Vil~.ag~e Council does hereby i.nvolcc> <br />the provisions of Ordinance No. 21, and that all dogs in the <br />Vi:Llage be confined to 1:he property o:P their owners or held <br />on leash when away Fran such property, from March 15th, until <br />June lst, 1959, <br />AND FURTHER, that notice of this order be published in <br />the official Village newspaper," <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />'the resolution was adopted. <br />A petition was presented to the Council. x•eckuesting re-zoning of <br />property owned by Mr. John Cardinal on the Nori:h ,side v1' Little Canada Road, directly <br />across the street; from Cardinal's residence at 5G w. Little Canada Road, 'she Clerlc <br />reported the petition to be in proper :Corm, <br />Upon motion by h4elancon, seconded by Spooner, it was <br />"RESOI.V.ED, that the peti.ti.on be and is hereby received <br />and hearing for re-zoning' from Farm Residential to Commercial <br />be and i.s hereby set for March 25, 1959, a~t '7:30 p.an. in the <br />Fire Hall at 440 i.
