MINUTES OF TIfE MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF LITTLE CANADA <br />~ ~# ~ <br />The regular meeting of the Council of the Village of Little Canada, <br />was held at the tattle Canada Fire Hall on Wednesday, November 11, 1959 at 7;30 p.m. <br />The following Council members were present: <br />Louis I4. Melancon, Mayor; Walter F. Coenea, Clerk; <br />Carl Spooner, Edgard R. Looffler, and John M. Vitale'.,. Trustees. <br />Also present were Richard Boss, Treasurer, Oscar Londin, Building <br />Inspector, and Louis Jespersen, Road Superintendent. <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of October 14, were approved as read. <br />Mayor Melancon read a petition from residents of Iona Lane, requesting <br />that a Street Light be installed at the intersection of Iona Lane and Rice Street. <br />Upon motion by Melancon, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that the Clerk contact the State Highway <br />Department with reference to the installation of a street <br />light at Rice Street and Iona Lane." <br />Ages - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted, <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the Clerk and Treasurer be and are <br />hereby authorized to pay dues in the amount of $25.00 to the <br />Ramsey County Municipal Officials A sociation, for the year <br />1959." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays 0 <br />The resolution was adopted, <br />Mr. Gunnar Johnson of 329 Savage Lano, wequested that the Council <br />install ath street light on Savage Lane at the intersection of that street and the new <br />Highway Service Lane, Mr, Johnson was instructed to get a petition signed and pre- <br />sented by residents of Savage Lane, and present same at the next meeting. <br />Mr, Donald Carley, Village Engineer, presented a partial cost estimate <br />for repairs and re-grading on County Road B-2 immediately East of Rice Street, said <br />partial estimate being in the amount of $3,960.00. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that the sum of $3,960.00 representing a partial <br />cost estimate for re-construction of County Road B-2 East of <br />Rice Streot, approved by the Engineer for payment, be forthwith <br />paid to Ray Sina Constrnction Company, contractor on thls job." <br />Ayes .. 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />
