REGULAR MEETING - April 13, 1960 <br />The regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Little <br />Canada was held on April 13, 1960, at 7a30 P. M. at the Little Canada Fire Hall, <br />440 Litt7.e Canada Road. <br />Present were L. Melancon, PJ. Coenen, C. Spooner, J. Vitale. Absent <br />was Ed Loeffler. <br />Also present were F. Memmer, L. Jesperson, Oscar Londin, R. Boss. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of March g, 1860, and the special <br />meeting of April 6, 1960, were read and approved. <br />Mr. Vitale raised the question o£ expansion by existing trailer parks <br />inasmuch as the Council had decided at its special meeting on April 6th not to <br />permit a new trailer park for the reason that they felt that there were enough <br />trailers in the Village. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Coenen, it was <br />RESOLVED, that the Building Inspector of the Village of Little Canada <br />be, and is hereby, instructed to issue no more pexmits for additional trailers in <br />arty existing trailer paxk and that any request for such expansion be passed upon <br />by the Council before such permits may be issued.) <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />Mr. Ed Geharty asked the Council what has been done regarding sewer <br />service in the area of Little Canada south of Highway 36 and east of McMenemy. <br />`Phe Village Attorney explained that he had requested information from Maplewood <br />as to what additional charges Maplewood might require over and above the estimated <br />cost included in the report recently made to the Council by the firm of Bettenburg, <br />'Pownsend, Coltes & Combs. He explained that Maplewood authorities will be letting <br />bids for the work in naplewood on Aprillgth and after that date, Iulaplewood will be <br />in a position to give better information as to such additional costs. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded; by Coenen, it was <br />RESOLVED, that the Mayor be, and is hereby, directed to set a special <br />hearing for a date to be determined by him as soon as the Village Attorney has the: <br />necessary additional information and when the Attorney finds out what legal time <br />limits are required under the State Improvement Code. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />Mr. Karp, who lives on County Road B-2 east of Rice Street, inquired <br />what is to be done about the street in front of his home. He was advised by the <br />Village Engineer that the construction work on that street, which had been started <br />in the Fall o£ lg5g, was to be commenced once again and to be completed this Spring <br />and that the Contractor expected to commence the final work sometime vrithin the <br />next two weeks. `Phe Engineer told Mr. Karp he would show him at that time where the <br />street grade would be. <br />
