Present <br />vrere: Mayor Ntelancon, 6Valte.r Coenen, John Vitale, Car:1 Spooner and Ed Loeffler. <br />A].so present vrere: Louis Jesperson, Richard ~3oss, Fred I,Iemmer and Oscar Londin.. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting for October were read and approved. <br />`Phe Village Attorney stated that in Niarch, 1959, he had. prepared an ordinance <br />for a Planning Commission but this ordinance Irad not yet been voted upon. IJr. Spooner <br />stated that he didn't quite understand. the functions of a Planning Commission. The <br />proposed ordinance eras again read and explained to the Council. The attorney pointed <br />out that he had carefully vrorded this ordinance so that the Planning Commission eras <br />p,irely advisory and would have no authority to undertake any work or make any d.ecisi.ons <br />without full approval of the Village Council; and, that aal of the recommendations <br />the Planning Commission might make would be of rro effect until they had been accepted <br />by Councia. action. <br />Upon motion by Loe.f.f].er, seconded by Vitale, i.t was determined that Ordinance <br />No. 30: <br />AiQ ORDIIIAI`ICE ES'.LADLISIIIPIG AN ADVISORY PLANNING <br />COP•4it4ISSION, llEFINI1dG ITS POWERS APID DUTIES <br />be adopted. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />lir. Richard Anderson of X34 Lal3ore Road, appeared before the Council and <br />presented a survey of the lot which he owns fronting on Lake Gervais. IIis lot <br />runs from Ls Bore Road down to the lake, He pointed out that he vrould like to <br />divide the lot so that there would be one building site facing Keller Parkvray <br />and another building site fronting on LaDore Road. <br />Upon. motion by Loeffler, seconded by Spooner, it was <br />RESOLVED, That the Ce.rti.ficate of Survey of part of Lot 20, Auditor's <br />Subdivision No. Qj, as presented to the Council, be, and the same is hereby, approved. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />il~Ir. Richard Doss appeared and stated that Bryan Street was o'rig:inal.ly a <br />60 ft. road upon which his lot fronts and that some time in the past the `1'ovrn Doax•d <br />of the Town of IQew Canada had vacated a part of the North.on.e-half of Dryan Street <br />but that this vacation was made in a manner ].eavin.g Dryan :itreet 4U ft. wide at the <br />intersection of Jackson and 60 ft, wide at the intersection of Bryan Street with the <br />Soo Line right-of-way. Tt was agreed by the Council that Ivlr. Boss should promptly <br />prepare and submit a 1'et:itiorr for. vacation which could. be set for the December <br />meeting and considered at that time. <br />_]._ <br />
