Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />RESOLVED, `that a hearing be set for December 14th, 1j60, for the purpose of <br />considering partial vacation. of Bryan Street. <br />Ayes - 5 ]Nays - O <br />The Mayor presented a report from the Sheriff's office giving detai.].s of <br />police work in Little Canada for the month of October. `1'he report was received <br />and placed on .file. <br />Ifir. Spooner asked the Council i£ there is any public access to Round Lake. <br />'Phis mattex was referred. to the Engineer and the Attorney for the purpose of <br />determining whebher or not the County has an easement running from Little Canada <br />Road to the lake on which the County Pump and well fox• maintaining; Round Lake is <br />located. <br />Upon motion. by Vitale, seconded by Coenen, it was <br />RESOLVED, that the Clerk be, and is hereby, instructed to notify the County <br />Engineer.'s office that the Village xoads in Little Canada should. not be sanded and, <br />as to said Village roads, the County should provide snow removal only. Further, <br />that the snow removal list should be amended by adding• to it Country Drive parallel <br />with t;he new highvray running north from Little Canada Road and Park Street and <br />running north from Flower Street, County Road ]3-2, and, further, that the County <br />Engineer. be instructed to erect a new street sign to replace the damaged sign at <br />Spruce and County Road C. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />4'he Village Attorney read the proposed ordinance No. 35 to regulate parking <br />on streets within the Village. <br />Upon motion by I'dIelancon, seconded by Loeffler, it was determined that Ordinance <br />No. 35: <br />"AN ORDIIsTANCE ESTABLISHING ZONES VdITHIN ~4IIICII PARKING <br />OF MOTOR VIIIIChES IS PROHI:I3ITED; ESTABLISHING ZONES <br />VdI3EREIN SUCK PARKING IS PERMI'PTED 1'OR SPECIPIEll PERIODS <br />OF TIIVIE; AND, PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR TIIF; VIOLATION <br />THEREOF" <br />be adopted. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The Village Attorney read letters that he had received from an attorney iri <br />St. Paul representing people who are proposing to buy property between 3020 ']'railer <br />Park and the Northern Sbates Power Sub-station and that these prospective buyers want <br />to use this property to move their businesses from their present location on Rice <br />Street i.n the City of St. Pau]. known as the Art's Towing Service and the Asphalt <br />Driveway Company. The Council vigorously and promptly indicated that they would not <br />autho:ri.ze the use of this land by the proposed buyers since it would look too much <br />_2_ <br />
