MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGII COUNCIL OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF LITTLE CANADA <br />-~~~ <br />The xegular meeting of the Council of the Village of Little Canada, <br />was held at the Little Canada Fire Hall on 'Wednesday, b'ebruary 8, 1961 at 7.30 p. m.. <br />The £oll.ovring Council members were present: <br />L. t'1. IvIelancon, Mayor; 1^d. F. Coenen, Clerk; Carl Spooner,ca <br />John Ili. Vitale and Edtivard R. Loeffler, Trustees. <br />Also present were Richard Boss, Treasurer, Fared P. R'Ie~mner, Village <br />Attorney and L. G. Jespersen, Road Superintendent. <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 11, 1961 and the Special <br />Nteeting o£ January 27, 1961 were approved as read. <br />IvPr. Richard Sch:rier of 2355 Western Avenue presented plans for a vrood- <br />vro:rking shop which he intends to build on property on So. Owasso Blvd., East of <br />Rice street. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Loeffler, it eras <br />"RESOLVED, that the building inspector be and is <br />hereby %nthorized to issue a Building Permit for a <br />VJoodworlcing shop to be built by Mr. Richard Schrier on <br />the North side of So. Ovrasso Blvd., west of and adjacent <br />to the Soo Line right-of-way." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />NIr. & Mrs. Faclclam appeared before the Council for the purpose of aga9.n <br />asking to move a house on a lot which would consist of the east 79 feet of Facklam~s <br />presently owned p:rope.rty on the north side o£ LaBore Road, west of Arcade street. <br />This request hacl previously been made by Mr. Facklam in a January meeting at •arlrich <br />time the L`ouncil tu:rru:d h:irn down and at which time It2r. Facklau told the Council he <br />vrould obtain property elsevrhere to use as a site for a house he had purchased from <br />the State Highevay Department. Since the proposed lot is less them the minimum <br />100 .foo b front required by 'Pil7.age Ordinance, Mr. Ernest Ehns t:rom, ovmer o£ the <br />property immediately Exist of Facklam voiced his opposition to allowing any relaxation <br />o£ the code as it relates 'to :l.ot size. <br />Upon motion by Vitstile, seconded by Coenen, it eras <br />"RESOLVED, that the manor be and is hereby referred <br />to the Bui:l.ding Inspector for report at the March meeting." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - O:a <br />Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Vitale, it vras <br />"RESOLV"Ell, that the Village of Little Canada undertake <br />negotiations with the St. Paul City Water Department fo-r <br />the purpose of obtaining an agreement with the said vrater <br />Department to use its newly graded right of way for recreation <br />purposes, picnicing grounds, etc." <br />l~,yes - 5 I4'ays - 0 <br />
