Since the She:riff's office performs traffic <br />policing, this matber was placed on file with the undo.rstanding that the Sheriff's <br />office eras taking care of anything vrith reference to traffic -tickets. <br />The Clerlt read a letter from the Ramsey County Revietir requesting reappoin'bment <br />as 'the Village newspaper. <br />`Phe Clerk read a Lebter received from the State I3ighvray Department referring <br />to lighting oP the intersection of 35L and Little Canada 1:?oad. `Phis letter indicated <br />tha'b the light vrould be unde-rtalten ;,ometime during the year 1962 since the specifi- <br />cations of this job provided for such lighting 'to be installed. <br />'Phc Clerlt read a lc;tte:r .from Robert De73ace aslting that he be considered for. <br />appoin.bnent to the vacancy on the Village Council now existing by reason of h4ayor <br />Spoon.er's election as Mayor. <br />`1'he Clerk presented the Sheriff's .report of all policing done by the Sheriff's <br />o:Cfice during the preceding month in Liable Canada. 'Phis vraa received and placed <br />on. file. <br />NIr. il4orris Jespersen appeared. before the Cow'soi7. and stated that the skating <br />rink i.s being used by many children and grovrn-upa in the Village. IIe also stated <br />that the supervision provided is greatly appreciated by the public and he feels <br />thab some provision should be made 'to pay the boy who has been handling the -rink. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Coenen, i.t eras <br />"R1;SOLVGD, that the suns of X200.00 be and is hereby a'u'thorized to be <br />expended for providing supervision :for 'the skating rinlt." <br />Ayes - ¢ Nays - 0 <br />The resolution eras adopted. <br />The Clerk read Ordinance No. 3£3. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Loe:Cfler, it wa,s <br />"1?SSOLVLD, that Ordinance No. 3f3 <br />AN OL{DINLll+ICP 1?LGULATING SOLICITOT28, llLFINING SOLICI'.1'ORS, <br />AND PROVIDING P1~IALTY FOR ANY VTOLATION 'PIItiR1;OF. <br />being the same and is he_roby approved and adopted." <br />Ayes - ¢ Nays - 0 <br />`l'he resolution eras adopted.. <br />'1'he Clerlt presented a bill of 5,7~£3¢.~q from the Little Canada Lumber Company for <br />lumber vrhich was purchased. for building the warming lsouse novr:in use at the skating <br />rink. <br />- 2 - <br />
