MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCSL OF ''HE <br />VILLAGE OF LITTLE CANADA <br />~- ~ * ~ <br />The regular meeting of the Council of the Village of Little Canada was <br />held at the Little Canada Fire Hall, 440 E. Little Canada Road, on October 10, <br />1862 at 7a30 P. M. The following Council members were presents <br />Carl Spooner, Mayor; Plalter Coenen, Clerk; John Vitale and Joe Hacker, <br />`Trustees. <br />Absent was Edward Loeffler, 'Trustee. <br />Also present were Frederick P. Memmer, Village Attorney; Richard Boss, <br />'Preasurer; Oscar Londin, Building Inspector, and Louis Jespersen, Road <br />Supervisors <br />Minutes of the September 12, 1962 and the special meeting of September <br />7th' 1962 were read at length by the Clerk. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Hacker, it was <br />"RESOLVEll, that the minutes of the special meeting of September <br />7th, 1y62 and the regular meeting of September 12th, 1962 be <br />approved as read." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. George Gutwald from Milnor W. Carley's office, presented. a survey <br />of the drainage area in the vicinity of Iona Lane which affects the properties <br />of Ben Rosemark and his neighbor to the West. The estimate for constructing the <br />drainage works required to overcome this problem amounted to $12,000 with an <br />alternative plan for certain open ditch work instead of piping, which would <br />reduce the cost to 965,500. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Hacker, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that a special meeting be set for October 17th at <br />7x30 P. M. for the purpose of making a determination and hearing <br />further representation by the residents as to whether or not the <br />Council should proceed with this work." <br />byes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. Carley reported on the investigation he had made concerning drainage <br />from Lahore Road through the property of Don Rada, 281'] Edgerton Street. 'Phe <br />engineers stated that it was his opinion that this drainage problem was a private <br />matter and did not involve the Village. <br />
