The resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. n4emmer suggested the Council consider establishing a traffic bureau <br />for payment of fines by people who do not wish to contest their arrest by a <br />court appearance. This would make it possible for people to simply pay the <br />fine as they do in the St. Paul Traffic Bureau and avoid the necessity of <br />appsaring in court. <br />The Clerk read a letter received from Subrrban Newspapers requesting the <br />Council to consider their publication as an official newspaper. This was <br />received and placed on file. <br />G ~r.> a1~G ~- <br />'Phe ar1c then instructed the Clerk to write a letter to the Suburban <br />Nswspaper calling their attention to the fact that their papers are being <br />thrown on the ground by the mailboxes and as a result the ground is bsing <br />littered with newspapers. <br />The Clerk read a letter from the County Auditor regarding State Aid Roads <br />in which he advised Little Canada that Labors Road from Arcade Street to <br />Centerville Road within Little Canada has been revoked as a County State Aid <br />highway and that it is necessary fro Little Canada to pass a resolution <br />approving this action of the County Board. <br />Upon motion by Jespersen, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, ~"1HF'RFJAS The Board of Ramsey County Commissioners did <br />adopt a resolution on December 30, 1863, revoking Labore Road <br />from Arcade Street to Centerville Road as County State Aid Highway <br />No. 61. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEB By the Village of Little Canada <br />Council that the s,ction of the Board of Ramsey County Commissioners <br />revoking County State Aid Highway No. 61 as set out above within <br />the corporate limits of the Village o£ Little Canada, is, in all <br />things, approved." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />'The resolution was adopted. <br />The Clerk presented the report of the Village Police Officer. After some <br />discussion it was decided that A4r. 14lyers Frattalone, the Village Police Officer <br />should not do any traffic patrolling and that his police work should be confined <br />mainly to answering calls. <br />The Clerk then presented the Sheriffs report for the year 1863. This was <br />received and placed on file. <br />The Clerk presented the Sheriffs report for December, 1863. This report <br />was received and plaoed on file. <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Northern States Power Company regarding a <br />reduction in gas rates. This letter was received and placed on fill. <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Northern States Power Company with .regard <br />to a reduction in electrical .rates.
