Iie stated it would be difficult to get financing unless there
were sewers in the Village. Mayor Spooner explained that vrhile we have prepared
preliminary plans for sewers, we cannot proceed at this time without waiting for the
final sewer study now being made in St, Paul to be completed andfor that reason it
will- be impossible to 'build sewers until next year at the very earliest.
Mr. Roy Nadeau, Jr.9 presented a proposed plat of his property and asked that
the Council approve a building permit for the construction o£ a home. He indicated
that he did not intend to proceed with the final filing of the plat because he had
decided to withhold such action pending the construction of sewers since it is his
understanding that after sewers are available in the Village, the one-half acre lot
size requirement will be changed. The plat which he presented was designed on the
basis of smaller than one-half acre lots. The Council referred him to the Building
Inspector for a permit and stated that they had no objection to the issuance of such
a permit.
In a previous meeting, the matter of providing proper lighting in front of the
Fire Department building along Little Canada Road had been referred to Northern States
Power Company.
