MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 13, 2008 <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CALL The City Attorney recommended that at the end of the meeting this <br />FOR evening, the Council go into closed session to discuss pending litigation <br />CLOSED relative to Twin Cities Stores-Oasis and Dayspring Development. <br />SESSION <br />VALOR The City Attorney reported that the attorney representing Valor <br />ENTERPRISES Enterprises has requested a meeting between Lori Peterson, Valor <br />LITIGATION Enterprises, and the City Council. Ms. Peterson would like to make a <br />presentation to the Council relative to the litigation. The City Attorney <br />stated that he saw no reason to deny the request, but cautioned the Council <br />not to engage in discussions with Ms. Peterson relative to the litigation. <br />It was the consensus of the Council to allow Ms. Peterson the opportunity <br />to make a presentation to the Council at a special meeting. The City <br />Administrator indicated that he attempt to obtain dates for a meeting, and <br />inform the Mayor so that he could call the special meeting. <br />LITTLE The City Administrator reported that Chris Roy, MN DOT, has informed <br />CANADA him that MN DOT has reviewed the Little Canada Road Bridge fence <br />ROAD replacement and painting, and has put together a revised estimate of <br />BRIDGE $100,000. Roy also has reported that he is seeking final approval from <br />MN DOT relative to their level of cost participation. Roy is seeking MN <br />DOT participation that would pay 45% of the project costs up to a <br />maximum of $50,000. <br />The Administrator indicated that this would be a 2009 project for MN <br />DOT, and indicated that he would inform the Council of MN DOT's <br />decision on the level of their cost participation. The Administrator noted <br />that the most recent estimate was quite a bit higher, but MN DOT will <br />now be bidding the work <br />TERRACE The City Administrator reported that he met with Frank and Randy <br />HEIGHTS Graczyk, Terrace Heights Mobile Home Park, relative to the specific <br />LAND details of a land swap agreement with the Park that would facilitate the <br />SWAP addition of a second left turn lane on County Road B-2. The <br />AGREEMENT Administrator reviewed some wording changes to the agreement that <br /> resulted fi•om the meeting. These changes relate to relocation costs, <br /> grading of parcel one, the City's cooperation to aid in the consriuction of <br /> utilities to serve six additional home sites, as well as the waiving of any <br />
