lines of a limited access freeway and an arterial or collector street, the <br />maximum sign height shall be allowed to be 30 feet regardless of the <br />building size. Sign area shall be as allowed by the table. Section <br />903.110.E.S.c.(4) does not apply with this ordinance or section. Area as <br />determined by the above formula applies to one (1) face of a two-faced <br />freestanding sign, or two (2) faces of afour-faced sign, etc. <br />d. Roof Signs. Roof signs established prior to the effective date of this Ordinance <br />shall be considered conforming signs in these districts if they comply with the <br />following provisions: <br />(1) The City Building Official conducts an inspection of the sign and finds it <br />and any sign structure to be in good condition and not to be endangering <br />the public health, safety, and general welfare. <br />(2) All signs on the subject site meet the general provisions, restrictions and <br />performance standards of this Ordinance as listed in Section 903.110. <br />(3) For the purposes of this Ordinance, roof signs shall be considered <br />freestanding signs, and shall be evaluated against the performance <br />standards for such signs. <br />e. Shopping center complex lots which contain freestanding businesses. In the case <br />of a lot or lots containing a shopping center complex which contains freestanding <br />businesses, one (1) freestanding sign is allowed per freestanding business <br />provided that such sign is in conformance with all sign and setback provisions of <br />this ordinance. <br />6. "PUD" District: Within a PUD District, a comprehensive sign plan shall be required <br />which designates the number, type, size, and design of all signs proposed for the PUD <br />project. The aggregate signage allowed by the PUD sign plan shall be the amount of <br />signage which would be allowed under 903.110.E.5., based on the proposed uses within <br />the PUD and the zoning districts in which each use would be allowed, except as follows: <br />a. Each principal building within a PUD shall be allowed one (1) freestanding sign. <br />Multiple tenant buildings shall be allowed a maximum of two (2) freestanding <br />signs. Freestanding signs shall be subject to the regulations of Section <br />903.110.E.5. <br />b. Comprehensive Sign Plans in the PUD District shall be processed as a part of the <br />PUD Development Stage application. In the alternative, an applicant in the PUD <br />District may request a separate Conditional Use Permit for a Comprehensive Sign <br />Plan at a later time, but prior to the display of any permanent business signage on <br />the property. <br />F.
