STAFF REPORT <br />TO:Mayor Keis and Members of the City Council <br />FROM:Heidi Heller, City Clerk <br />DATE:July 23, 2019 <br />RE:Nuisance Abatement at 3030 Centerville Road <br />ACTION TO BE CONSIDERED: <br />Motion to authorize staff to proceed with abatement action at 3030 Centerville Road. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />City staff became aware of the lack of maintenance of the property at 3030 Centerville Road. The <br />grass is extremely long and appears to have not been mowed yet this season. This is a commercial <br />property and Ramsey County property records shows it is currently bank owned. <br />A letter was mailed to the property owner on July 9, 2019 requesting that the grass and weed <br />nuisance violation that exists be corrected by Monday, July 22. Staff conducted an inspection on <br />July 23 and mailed a second final notice with a deadline of Sunday, July 28. Staff also posted a <br />notice on the building and sent an email to the realtor listed on the sign. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />City staff recommends the Council authorize staff to proceed with abatement action on Monday, <br />July 29, 2019 at 3030 Centerville Road if the nuisance has not been corrected. <br />Photo taken July 23, 2019
