CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 2020-2- <br />RESOLUTION CHANGING THE POLLING PLACE OF LITTLE CANADA <br />PRECINT 1 FOR THE AUGUST 11, 2020 STATE PRIMARY ELECTION <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 204B.16, subd. 1 requires the City Council, by ordinance or <br />resolution, to designate polling places for the upcoming year; and; <br />WHEREAS, on October 23, 2019 the Little Canada City Council designated Roseville Area <br />Middle School as the polling place to serve all territory in Little Canada Precinct 1 located in the <br />City of Little Canada, Ramsey County, Minnesota; and, <br />WHEREAS, Roseville Area Middle School is under construction and will not be available to <br />serve as a polling place for the State Primary Election; and, <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute Section 204B.16 allows changes to the polling places locations at <br />least 90 days before the next election if one or more of the authorized polling places becomes <br />unavailable for use; and; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Little Canada City Council hereby changes <br />the Precinct 1 polling place for the August 11, 2020 Election from Roseville Area Middle School, <br />15 County Road B2 East, Little Canada, Minnesota, to Little Canada Elementary School, 400 Eli <br />Road, Little Canada, Minnesota. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 204B.16, subd. <br />1a, the City shall send a notice of change in this polling place location to each affected household <br />with at least one registered voter in the precinct. The notice should be sent at least 25 days <br />before the next election by nonforwardable mail stating the location of the new polling place. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Little Canada this 26th day of February, 2020. <br />John T.
