CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 841 <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE <br />CHAPTER 3200 RENTAL HOUSING LICENSING <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />ORDAINS: Chapter 3200 is amended as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1 <br /> <br /> SUMMARY PUBLICATION. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 412.191, in the <br />case of a lengthy ordinance, a summary may be published. While a copy of the entire <br />ordinance is available without cost at the office of the City Clerk, the following summary <br />is approved by the City Council and shall be published in lieu of publishing the entire <br />ordinance: <br /> <br />The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the City Municipal Code – Chapter <br />3200, Rental Housing Licensing as part of the licensing program update. The <br />major changes include adding removing language for housing inspector licensing <br />and reports, revise who is on the Rental Housing Appeals Board, remove <br />allowance for an exemption to the license fee, add Group Homes to list of <br />property types that are exempt from rental licensing, 3200.070B Interior <br />Inspections: Add that no warrant is needed for entry when an emergency <br />condition exists and there is insufficient time to obtain a warrant and remove <br />sections B-D from 3200.045 Penalties for Failure to Obtain a License – and <br />instead added 3200.300 Violations and Penalties to the end of this Chapter that <br />will encompass the entire chapter instead of only for not obtaining a license. <br /> <br /> <br />Section 2 <br /> <br />Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective on May 29, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the City Council of Little Canada this 27th day of May, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br /> <br />BY: John T.
