15 <br />3200.220. APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION. Rental Housing Inspector <br />licenses shall be approved or denied by the City Administrator. The City Administrator shall <br />deny a license if any portion of the application is incomplete, in the opinion of the Administrator. <br />The City Administrator may deny a license to an applicant who: <br /> <br />a. Has been convicted of any crime related to housing inspection; <br />b. Has falsified any information or omitted material information in the license <br />application form; <br />c. Has had a license application denied of a license revoked or suspended in another <br />jurisdiction within the last ten years. <br /> <br />3200.230. SUSPENSION, REVOCATION OR NON-RENEWAL. Following approval <br />of a license under this Chapter, any of the following occurrences may result in the suspension, <br />revocation or non-renewal of a rental housing inspection license by the City: <br /> <br />a. Conviction of any crime related to a license inspection or the occupation of housing <br />inspection; <br />b. Discovery of falsification or omission of information, or other items which would <br />have allowed the City Administrator to deny the license application if known at the <br />time of application; <br />c. Substantiated complaints from residents of properties using the inspector’s services; <br />d. Demonstrated incompetence or inefficiency in conducting inspections; <br />e. Lapse in required insurance or inability to provide satisfactory proof of insurance <br />upon request; <br />f. Allowing the license issued to the inspector to be used by another person; <br />g. Suspension or revocation of a similar license by another jurisdiction; <br />h. Suspension or revocation of any other license issued to the inspector by the City of <br />Little Canada; <br />i. Failure to follow the Code of Ethics adopted by the City of Little Canada as part of <br />the Rental Housing Evaluator Guidelines; <br />j. Violation of any part of this Chapter or of any portion of the Rental Housing <br />Evaluator Guidelines setting forth duties and responsibilities of the inspector. <br /> <br />Any proposed suspension, revocation or non-renewal of a license shall be processed in <br />accordance with Chapter 800 of the City Code. License holders shall comply with terms and <br />conditions applicable to all license holders as stated within Chapter 800. <br /> <br />3200.240. DUTIES OF INSPECTORS. Each licensed inspector shall maintain a current <br />City license and conduct all duties in good faith with the City’s Rental Housing Evaluator <br />Guidelines. <br /> <br />SEVERABILITY. Should any section, subdivision, clause or other provision of this <br />Ordinance be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not <br />affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole, or of any part thereof, other than the part held to <br />be invalid.
