5 <br />●Evaluating community feedback based on openly available, measurable, and equitable <br />criteria that community members have aided in creating <br />Questions to consider <br />1.What individuals, community groups, constituencies, and organizations must be at the <br />table and what support must be provided to facilitate their involvement? <br />2.Who traditionally has not been at the table and what factors may have caused or <br />contributed to their lack of involvement? <br />3.Is/are knowledge, resources, and power being mutually and beneficially exchanged <br />among all parties? <br />4.How much influence should/do community members have in shaping a final outcome or <br />decision? <br />5.What strategies and tactics exist to involve community members and what gaps do they <br />create that must still be addressed? <br /> <br />3.Equitability <br />Equitability means… <br />Committing to the creation of a community that openly acknowledges and actively combats the <br />everyday realities of systemic injustice. <br />Equitability involves… <br />●Reallocating community resources and decision making power with the goal of bridging <br />opportunity gaps among community members <br />●Evaluating decision making processes and procedures for unintended bias and <br />dedicating time and energy to improving these systems <br />●Prioritizing the development of community initiatives and projects that address existing <br />disparities related to access and advancement <br />Questions to consider <br />1.How does the issue or decision at hand help, hurt, or otherwise impact various <br />community members? <br />2.Have current community needs been adequately considered and addressed before <br />current and/or future community desires? <br />3.Are the interests of all community members being represented accurately and <br />proportionately? <br />4.Are all community members able to share authentic insights without fear of prejudice or <br />retribution?
