<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Keis and Members of the City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Bryce Shearen, CPRP, Parks & Recreation/Community Services Manager <br /> <br />DATE: September 23, 2020 <br /> <br />RE: Spooner Park Lower Shelter <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve the recommended shelter option and authorize obtaining bids for the Spooner <br />Park Lower Shelter project. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Identified in the Parks Master Plan, the Spooner Park Lower Shelter is needing an update and <br />enhancement to better serve the needs of the community. <br /> <br />“The lower picnic shelter area is getting loved to death – update it to enhance the shelter <br />and meet the demand” – 2018 Park System Master Plan <br /> <br />This project was programmed in the 2020 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) with an estimated <br />cost of $75,000 to complete the work.
