MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 24, 2008 Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2008-9-228 -DENYING THE VARIANCE REQUEST FROM OUTDOOR STORAGE HEIGHT LIMITATIONS FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES REQUESTED BY ROGER LILLEMOEN FOR 180 RYAN DRIVE BASED ON THE FINDING OF THE CITY PLANNER OUTLINED IN HIS SEPTEMBER S, 2008 REPORT THAT THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE ANY UNIQUE CONDITIONS ON THE PROPERTY THAT WOULD CREATE THE REQUIRED HARDSHIP JUSTIFYING A VARIANCE FROM THE CODE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO.2008-9-229 -DENYING THE VARIANCE FROM SCREENING REQUIREMENTS REQUESTED BYROGER LILLEMOEN FOR 180 RYAN DRIVE BASED ON THE FINDING OF THE CITY PLANNER OUTLINED IN HIS SEPTEMBER S, 2008 REPORT THAT THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE ANY UNIQUE CONDITIONS ON THE PROPPRTY THAT WOULD CREATE THE REQUIRED HARDSHIP DUSTING A VARIANCE FROM THE CODE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The City Planner suggested that the Council could table action on the CUP request for outdoor storage, pending action on a Text Amendment relative to the storage of recreation equipment on commercial properties by the property owner. It was the consensus of the Council that the CUP could be acted upon provided that the outdoor storage meet all the conditions outlined in the City Planner's report of September 5, 2008 and City Zoning Codes. The Council agreed that a Text Amendment should be considered on the recreation equipment storage and it would apply to Mr. Lillemoen's CUP accordingly.
