^^INUTES <br />City Council <br />(~ ~ Oct. 10, 1984 <br />Thunder Bay Mrs. Nardini suggested that the Council. hold off on discussion of <br />Addition Thunder Bay Addition until after the Park Commission meeting. The <br />Parlc Commission will be considering the possibility of the cul-de-sac <br />Agenda at the end of the street extending into the City's park property. <br />Item No. 6 <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that the Public tdorks Superintendent informed <br />him that the purchaser of the house on the cul-de-sac is not happy <br />with the situation. It was suggested that this party be invited <br />at the next Council meeting cahen the matter will be discussed. <br />~~ <br />R & S ~ Council recently tabled action on the P. & S auto salvage yard proposal <br />Auto Salvage until there was a full Council present. <br />Yard <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 7 RESOLUTION N0. 84-10-475 - REMOVING FROPi <br />TABLE THE R & S P.EQUEST FOR CONDITIO??AL <br />USE PER'~1IT FOR AN AUTO SALVAGE YARD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by hrs. Nardini. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Nardini, Hanson, Fahey, Forsberg. <br />Playes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 11, Page 488. <br />?dr. Fahey pointed ovt that some of the recommendations contained i.n the <br />Planner's report on the R 8~. S proposal are that the road issue be <br />resolved, that the three parcels be combined into one, a landscape <br />plan be submitted, the parking issue and that security be posted to <br />ensure that all improvements are done. <br />Mrs. Scalze asked if the Council was going to put a limit on the number <br />of cars allowed. <br />Mr. Fahey suggested that the conditional use permit run for a year so <br />that the City can look at the situation at the end of that time. <br />Fahey also felt that the number of cars should be restricted. <br />Air. Forsberg suggested that the cars be limited to single-stacking <br />only. <br />?•9rs. Scalze suggested that the matter of cars parking on a City street <br />should be addressed. Scalze felt that the cul-de-sac should be posted <br />no-parking. Mrs. Nardini agreed. <br />Mr. Zi.lge reported that the employees of *9yers are the ones parking <br />on the cul-de-sac and not R & S, although R 2 S owns the A7yers building. <br />Paae -4- <br />
