Public Works Department – Bill Dircks <br />The Public Works Department provides services to residents related to City streets including <br />maintenance, ice & snow removal, lighting and signage. The Public Works Department also <br />provides water & sewer maintenance, storm sewer maintenance, manages the City’s fleet of <br />vehicles, and maintains all parks and government buildings. Public Works Director Bill Dircks <br />also works with the City Engineer to conduct neighborhood meetings and public hearings on public <br />infrastructure projects. <br />Parks & Recreation / Community Services Department – Bryce Shearen <br />The Parks & Recreation / Community Services Department provides the citizens of Little Canada <br />with services related to recreational amenities, programing, and community engagement. The <br />Community Services Department also plays a critical role in assisting in the development of public <br />processes and procedures that ensure the City of Little Canada is responsive and equitable so <br />residents are engaged in the decisions that affect them. <br />Finance Department – Brenda Malinowski <br />The primary objective of the Finance Department is to provide financial management, information, <br />and business products to City Council members, department staff, agencies, investors, and the <br />community so they can make informed decisions and achieve their goals and objectives. Other <br />responsibilities include budget management, financial reporting and audit preparation, payroll <br />processing, cash receipting, utility billing including organized collection, investing, and capital <br />improvement planning and management. <br />Community Development Department – Corrin Wendell <br />The Community Development Director is responsible for the overall management of the <br />Community Development Department, including planning, zoning, building inspections, rental <br />licensing, and economic development under the general supervision of the City Administrator. <br />BUDGETARY INFORMATION <br />Property Tax Levy <br />Changes in the property tax levy in the recent past have been as follows: <br />A 3% increase in the property tax levy for 2022 will generate approximately $104,800 in additional property tax revenue.
