The new street, Sierra Lane, has a sweeping curve and then
ties into Old County Road C just oast of Ruth St. This has created an uncontrolled
intersection at Ruth and Oid County Road C. Staff recommends that the council approve
a stop sign on Ruth St. at the intersection of Ruth an Old County Road C. It is the most
appropriate location to put a stop sign since Ruth and Old C form a "T" intersection.
There isn't a good place to stop the Sierra Lane traffic due to the sweeping curve. Sierra
Lane wiil not generate very much additional traffic but staff believes it would be in the
best interest of public safety to control the new intersection.
