Council opted to not increase the charge for 9+ unit developments at that time. Prior to that, the Park Charges were increased in 2007. Staff surveyed many cities in the area, while each city offers slightly different variations of park charges, it was found that we were below the average for the residential park charge. Staff is proposing a 5% per unit increase for both 1-8 unit and 9+ unit residential developments, and no change to the commercial charge amounts. The proposed change would still have Little Canada’s residential park charges slightly below average.
