MINUTES <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />October 3, 2019 <br />The Community Services Manager reported the next Morning Talk would <br />be on October 9 and the topic would be Super Foods. He explained this <br />would take place at Cardigan Ridge. <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported the final Farmer’s Market for <br />the season would be held on Monday, October 7. He explained he would <br />have a report on the Farmer’s Market at the November meeting. <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported the Movie in the Park had to <br />be moved to a new date, and it was held on a Friday in September. He <br />noted attendance was down, and the weather was cool, but the event went <br />well. <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported the Explore Little Canada <br />Program was being held again. A list of events and dates was included in <br />the packet. <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported fall youth activities were <br />underway, and there was a rise in participation for the gymnastics program <br />and after school basketball. He noted both were full. The Community <br />Services Manager shared there were also 3 volleyball teams. <br /> <br />Chair Miller moved the meeting be adjourned <br /> <br />Motion seconded by Abruzzese. <br /> <br />Motion carried 6 – 0. <br /> <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Anna Leibel <br />Recording Secretary <br />ADJOURN
