2. Usage of dollars in the Veterans Memorial Fund. <br />a. Repairs in Veterans Memorial Park. <br />b. Enhancements in Veterans Memorial Park. <br />c. Programming in Veterans Memorial Park. <br />i. Programming related to Veterans. <br />d. No funds shall be used for routine maintenance of the Veterans Memorial Park or <br />adjacent lands. <br />3. Allocation of funds will be reviewed and recommended to the City Council by the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission before expenditure. <br />BUDGETARY IMPACT <br />There are a few options for funding these projects. The Veterans Memorial Fund currently has <br />$2700 available. Other options include the Parks and Recreation Capital Improvement Fund, the <br />Parks and Recreation Operating Fund, and using a portion of the $15,000 Council contingency <br />fund. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Commission approve and recommend to the City Council the installation <br />of polymeric sand between the pavers at the park along with the repair of a section of pavers and <br />refurbishing the bubbler setup in the lower portion of the memorial utilizing the remaining $2700 <br />in the Veterans Memorial Fund.
