STAFF REPORT
TO:Parks & Recreation Commission
FROM:Claire Hoffman, Recreation Coordinator (Former)
DATE:February 4, 2021
RE:Park Signage Update
ACTION REQUESTED:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Identified in the 2021 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) are two park signage projects. The first
project is creating interpretive signage for all Little Canada park locations. These signs will
feature the park and provide a city map with wayfinding information, historical information, and
general features of the park. They will help with visitor orientation, wayfinding to other local
amenities, and an appreciation of the Little Canada park system. The second project is the
replacement of most of the City’s park entrance signs to offer an updated look and be made from
a minimum maintenance product.
Draft signage will be presented at future Parks & Recreation Commission meetings for the
Commission to review and comment on.
