Sierra Hietala Bio
Sierra Hietala is excited to be a part of the Little Canada
Parks & Recreation Department and taking the lead on
coordinating the many different community events and
programs that are offered, managing the Farmers Market, and
enhancing the educational program offerings in Little Canada.
Sierra has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation, Parks
and Leisure Services from Minnesota State University,
Mankato, and was recently working for a north-metro city
parks department as the summer youth programming lead and
farmers market supervisor. Along with her experience, Sierra
brings great energy, a positive attitude, strong teamwork
skills, and the willingness to help in multiple areas if needed.
In her spare time, Sierra enjoys spending time in the outdoors backpacking and hiking. She also
enjoys cooking and learning new recipes and encourages anyone with a great recipe to send it her
way. Sierra looks forward to joining the team and the impact she will have on the Little Canada
community.
