- 6 -
Replacement of badly damaged or poorly draining curb is proposed along with
the removal and replacement of all the ground off curb at the driveways. The
cost for the replacement of this curb would be split 50/50 with each property
owner. In addition, the property owner would be responsible for the cost of any
driveway work necessary due to the driveway curb replacement. If a property
owner would choose to not have their driveway approach altered, they would
receive a credit for any curb not replaced in front of their driveway. It is
anticipated there may be small areas within the milled section that may need to
be full depth patched prior to repaving of the bituminous wear course.

At this time no major sanitary sewer or storm sewer work is anticipated on
Morrison Avenue. Minor adjustment ring and casting work shall be completed on
several structures.

D. WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS

As has been the City’s practice on past projects, the valves in the project area
will be excavated for inspection of the bolts, fittings, and overall watermain
condition. Any repairs necessary for the water system will be completed as part
of the project. Included in the estimate is the excavation of the valves and
replacement of bolts, if additional repairs are needed those costs would be in
addition to those shown in this report.

VIII. RIGHT-OF-WAY & EASEMENTS

It is anticipated that all work can be completed within the existing City rights-of-way and
easement areas. If minor work becomes necessary outside of these areas the City
could use a waiver of trespass. A waiver of trespass allows entry by City personnel and
its agents, the Contractor, and subcontractors onto private property for the purpose of
inspection and other construction related work only during the duration of the project.

IX. PERMITS

A National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit will be needed due
to the disturbance size of more than one acre of land along with a permit from the
Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District.
