- 5 -
VI. INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS

Informational meetings are being held for all streets on December 17th to gather public
input on the proposed project from those adjacent to the improvements. Copies of the
sign-in sheets and complete meeting minute notes for these meetings will be added to
this feasibility as Appendix D.

VII. PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS

A. ASPEN CIRCLE

Aspen Circle is proposed to be full depth reclaimed and paved with a new
bituminous surface. The grading of recycled material and paving will occur in
such a manner to ensure the proper crown of the roadbed is restored. It is
anticipated that sections of curb and gutter will need to be replaced due to
damage or poor drainage characteristics. Due to the aggressiveness of the
surmountable curb grade we are also proposing to have the curb and gutter
removed at all driveways. The cost for the replacement of this curb would be
split 50/50 with each property owner. The proposed driveway curb will be poured
to provide a smoother driveway access. This work will require that the resident
replace at least a portion of their driveway. As has been the City’s practice in
past years on these types of projects, the driveway work would be the
responsibility of the property owner. If a property owner would choose to not
have their driveway approach altered, they would receive a credit for any curb
not replaced in front of their driveway.

Only minor structure rehabilitation and repair is anticipated on the sanitary and
storm sewer.

B. DEMONT AVENUE

Demont Avenue is proposed to have the entire bituminous thickness reclaimed
into a portion of the gravel base. The reclaimed aggregate surface will then be
graded, test rolled, and any soft area corrected prior to paving two new lifts of
bituminous. As mentioned in the existing conditions section of this report the
surmountable curb in front of driveways was ground off shortly after the curb was
installed. In addition to replacement of badly damaged or poorly draining curb,
we are proposing to remove and replace all the ground off curb at the driveways.
The cost for the replacement of this curb would be split 50/50 with each property
owner. In addition, the property owner would be responsible for the cost of any
driveway work necessary due to the driveway curb replacement. If a property
owner would choose to not have their driveway approach altered, they would
receive a credit for any curb not replaced in front of their driveway.

Only minor structure rehabilitation and repair is anticipated on the sanitary and
storm sewer.

C. MORRISON AVENUE

Morrison Avenue is proposed receive full depth reclamation and repaving
between Demont Avenue and Brooks Avenue East and to be milled two inches
deep and overlaid with a new bituminous surface south of Brooks Avenue East.
