MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 22, 2008 <br />restrictions on this liquor license; however, State Liquor Board has <br />indicated that the license cannot be restricted. <br />The City Attorney noted that Little Canada is allowed more On-Sale <br />Liquor Licenses under State Law then have been provided for by City <br />Code. Blesener suggested that the City Code be amended to read similarly <br />to State Law. It was noted that the City Attorney was instructed at the last <br />meeting to prepare an ordinance amendment adding one more On-Sale <br />License to the City Code, and future requests would be considered on a <br />case-by-case basis. <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2008-]0-274 -ADOPTING ORDINANCE NO. 660 <br />INCREASING THE NUMBER OF ON-SALE INTOXICATING <br />LIQUOR LICENSES ALLOWED IN THE CITY CODE BY ONE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />TASTE OF Mr. Chris Theines, Taste of Scandinavia requested an On-Sale Liquor <br />SCANDINAVIA License and Sunday License to be used in conjunction with a Caterer's <br />ON-SALE Permit so they can provide liquor service as part of catered events. <br />LIQUOR AND <br />SUNDAY The City Clerk reported that application materials are in order and <br />LICENSES recommended approval of the license request. <br />Montour asked if the City would have any liability for events catered by <br />Taste of Scandinavia in other cities where over serving of alcohol may <br />occm•. The City Attorney replied that there would be no liability on the <br />part of the City. <br />Blesener asked about the Caterer's License. Theines replied that in order <br />to obtain the Caterer's License, Taste of Scandinavia must have an On- <br />Sale Liquor License. The combination of the two licenses allows for <br />liquor service at catered events.
