MINUTES CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 12, 2008 Dana Allen, Chair of the CTA Advisory Committee, reported that the process has been going on for several months, and information has been distributed to the ownership. The owner felt that the petition to veto the HIA creation fairly represented the desires of that 43%. There was no one else present wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Allan, seconded by Keis, the public hearing was closed. The City Administrator stated that in light of the petition received, there is no action required of the City Council relative to the proposed ordinance. The HIA process will not move forward. TEXT The City Clerk reported that Noupath Massage has had some difficulty in AMENDMENT- putting together the right employee mix for this business. Noupath has MASSAGE found the process for massage therapist licensing to be untimely given that THERAPIST they have to wait for City Council meetings to obtain approval for LICENSING- massage therapist licenses. Noupath has requested a Text Amendment to NOUPATH the Municipal Code that would allow the City Administrator to issue MASSAGE Massage Therapist Licenses provided all Code requirements are met. The City Council would continue to review and act on Massage Therapy Business Licenses. The City Council found this Text Amendment to be reasonable. Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIONNO. 2008-11-282 -ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2202 AND CHAPTER 2203 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE, KNOWNAS THE MUNICIPAL CODE, AS RELATES TO MASSAGE THERAPIST LICENSING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
