EVENT PROPOSAL <br />City of Little Canada & iBALL4LIFE <br />Presents <br />“1st Annual Youth Community Day” <br />Event Overview <br />The city of Little Canada in partnership with iBALL4LIFE will be hosting the 1st Annual Youth <br />Community Day held at Pioneer Park. During this event, the Little Canada community will be <br />able to gather at Pioneer Park for a great showcase of motivational entertainment and activities. <br />The youth will be exposed to upcoming opportunities Little Canada has to offer when it comes to <br />sports and educational programs through the leaders of Little Canada. Selected youth will have <br />the opportunity to speak and give their point of view on their community and what they would <br />like to see change or be implemented. The youth will also have a chance of self-expression by <br />showcasing their talent in front of the Little Canada community audience. <br />To inspire engagement, a raffle will take place for audience members to receive free giveaways <br />which will happen throughout the program. <br />The main attraction will be a basketball game featuring iBall4Life who will play against the <br />police and or fire department. The half-time break will feature a skill contest with a 1st and 2nd <br />prize and the 2nd half of the basketball game will continue. <br />Closing remarks will come from the Mayor of Little Canada along with the closing of the event. <br />Food and drinks will be offered during the start and end of the event. <br />Background Information <br />The Youth Community Day concept came from Ron Fullford’s church background. From teen to <br />adult, he hosted Youth Day services at House of Praise located on the Eastside of Saint Paul and <br />crossed over his skill set into his company iBALL4LIFE for motivating youth and bringing <br />smiles to faces through positive entertainment. <br />Goals & Objectives of Event <br />To unite families together from all over the Little Canada community and inspire them through <br />motivational activities to keep them off the street, away from violence, bring awareness to youth sports <br />activities in Little Canada, and build positive relationships that will impact the hearts and minds of the <br />local youth.
