Lennar – Little Canada
Traffic Analysis
April 25, 2022
Page 14

LOS and other Measure of Effectiveness (MOEs) were calculated from the models and are
discussed in the following sections for each analysis year.

Existing

Table 4 – Existing Traffic Operations shown below, summarizes the existing LOS and delays at
the primary intersections in the study area based on the current lane geometry, traffic control and
existing traffic volumes.

The analysis results show that all intersections are operating at overall LOS A during both the
weekday AM and PM peak hours. In addition, all movements during the AM and PM peak hours
are also operating at a LOS B or better.

The maximum movement queues do not exceed the storage lengths of the existing lanes at either
intersection for existing conditions except for the eastbound Little Canada Road (CSAH 21)
approach to Centerville Road (CSAH 19). The model shows that the maximum queue for this
approach could back up into the I-35E northbound ramp intersection, however the model
indicated that the average queue would exceed the available queue storage.

Table 4 – Existing Traffic Operations
C = Overall LOS, (D) = Worst movement LOS Source: WSB & Associates, Inc.

2025 No-Build

Table 5 – 2025 No-Build Traffic Operations shown below, summarizes the projected 2025 LOS
and delays at the primary intersections in the study area based on the current lane geometry and
traffic control without the proposed Lennar residential development traffic.

The analysis results show that all intersections will continue to operate at overall LOS B during
both the weekday AM and PM peak hours. In addition, all movements during the AM and PM
peak hours would continue to operate at a LOS B or better.

Like the existing conditions the maximum movement queues do not exceed the storage lengths of
the existing lanes at either intersection except for the eastbound Little Canada Road (CSAH 21)
approach to Centerville Road (CSAH 19) which could back up into the I-35E northbound ramp
intersection during only peak conditions.

Control Intersection
AM Peak Hour PM Peak Hour
LOS Delay
(sec/veh) LOS Delay
(sec/veh) All-Way Stop Edgerton St (CSAH 58) at
Centerville Rd (CSAH 19 A (B) 7 (10) A (B) 7 (10) Signal Centerville Rd (CSAH 19) at
Little Canada Rd (CSAH 21) A (B) 9 (16) A (B) 9 (15)
