MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 22, 2008 <br />and is developing on the open market. The Administrator pointed out that <br />the City's goal is to work with businesses, and is trying to work with R & <br />S as along-standing business in the community. There are non- <br />compliance Code issues that have existed at this business for a long time. <br />The Administrator pointed out the extensive process that the City went <br />through to upgrade the I-1 District standards and the business owners' <br />involvement in the process. <br />Waite again encouraged the Council to give R & S the 24 months to <br />become Code compliance. Boss agreed that 24 months was not an <br />unreasonable amount of time. <br />There was no one else present from the general public wishing to <br />comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Allan, seconded by Blesener, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />The Council reviewed the recommendations of the Planning Commission <br />relative to the various zoning actions, and the consensus was in support of <br />those recommendations. <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-12-315 -APPROVINGA CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT FOR OUTDOOR STORAGE OF VEHICLES AND <br />WASTE CONTAINERS FOR THE R & S AUTOMOTIVE B USINESS <br />LOCATED AT 38 WOODLYNAVENUE SUBJECT TO <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY <br />PLANNER, THE PLANNING COMMISSION, AND CITY STAFFAS <br />OUTLINED IN THE VARIOUS PLANNING REPORTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
