a <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING ; <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />.,LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 14, 2022 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was convened on the 14th day of December, 2022 in the Council Chambers of the.City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the City <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Keis, Council Members Miller, McGraw, Torkelson and Fischer. <br />Absent: None. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Chris Heineman, Parks & Rec/Community Services Director <br />Bryce Shearen, Public Works Director Bill Dirks, Finance Director Sam Magureanu, City Clerk/HR <br />Manager Heidi Heller and City Engineer Eric Seaburg. <br />MINUTES <br />Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2 022-12-141—APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE NO VEMBER <br />30, 2022 WORKSHOP AND THE NOVEMBER 30, 2022 REGULAR MEETINGS AS <br />SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The City Administrator, reported that tonight is Council member Torkelson and Mayor Keis's last City <br />Council meeting, and thanked both for their years of service. He presented an American Flag from <br />Congresswoman Betsy McCollum to Mayor Keis at his last City Council meeting, in honor of his <br />many years of service to the City of Little Canada. <br />Mayor Keis stated this has been an enjoyable ride over the years, and thanked staff for all the work <br />they do. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None. <br />PRESENTATION — DONATION FROM LITTLE CANADA FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />Fire Chief Don Smiley and Assistant Fire Chief & Charitable Gambling Manager, Tim Boss, stated <br />they have been conducting charitable gambling for many years. He explained that they have been able <br />to use these funds to purchase equipment and pay for other department items so they do not have to <br />rely on the City for everything. He stated they also use these funds to donate to other needs in Little <br />Canada. Tim Boss thanked Gordie's Bar and the Hoggsbreath for allowing the gambling at their <br />locations, and they have now added Bingo. They presented a check for $130,000 to the City that will <br />
