MIF Loan Application 11/19/2022
Section 3-A
Project Overview
1.a) MIF funds will be used to ramp up Maxwell Labs from a laboratory to full industrial abilities.
Our first product that we are bringing to market is a high conductivity thermal paste. This reduces
energy consumption by up to 15% and reduces temperatures equipment runs at by up to 12 degrees. It
has been prototyped and operated in various pilot projects throughout 2022.

Project Details

Its primary use is in high performance computing such as super computers and the mining industry,
however, it is applicable to all equipment containing a chip. We currently have four manufactures
testing our compound and one requesting we begin exclusivity agreements We cannot ramp up to
production without MIF funds to purchase equipment. Just one of these four contracts is 1M
grams annually. Our current equipment allows us to make batch sizes of 130ml, limiting us to 36,000
grams per year. Industrial equipment is required to allow us to increase batch size to 2200ml per batch,
resulting in production capacity of 750,000 grams monthly.

Equipment Requirements
The primary focus of funding will be in purchasing of equipment and increasing space for manufacturing.
We currently have laboratory-sized equipment and require equipment that is sized for mass production.
The equipment required to meet our projected volumes for thermal compounds over the next year are
shown in the table below. This is only for one production line of one product- thermal compound.
Equipment Quantity Total Cost
Kakuhunter Centrifugal
Planetary Mixer SK1100TV2
1 $64000
Ultrasonic Mixers 4 $8000
Syringe fillers 1 $12000
Labconco 70” Fume hoods 1 $16000

Space Requirements
In addition to the industrial manufacturing equipment discussed above, we require larger manufacturing
space to house equipment, staff and inventory. We are currently limited to 1500 sqft, and require a
minimum of 3000 sqft to meet the requirements of manufacturing at maximum capacity.
Leasehold Improvements
HVAC for Exhaust system for equipment and Cooling system for large server equipment is estimated at
$50,000. The installation of duct work and equipment ventilation, including moving costs of $75,000. In
addition, a required upgrade to 600 amp service is needed estimated at $30,000.
