The Commission will select its Vice Chair at its first meeting in January. <br />INTERVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION <br />The consensus of the Interview Committee is that Ron Horwath should be reappointed to a 3-year <br />term, Kate Williams should be appointed to a 3-year term and Maggie DeLongMiller be appointed <br />to the vacant 1-year term to fill the position of Dave Miller. <br />CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION <br />Staff would like to thank Dave Miller for his 9 years of service on the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission and for serving as the Chair for the past 7 years. Mr. Miller has been a very valuable <br />member as this Commission has evolved over the last several years. He played an important <br />leadership role on the Commission as the City’s recent Parks Master Plan was completed, along <br />with planning and reviewing the many park improvements that have been done in the last few <br />years. <br />Staff would also like to thank Rose Chu for her 6.5 years on the Parks & Recreation Commission. <br />Ms. Chu has been very involved in the Commission attending events and advocating for <br />accessible parks and community engagement and inclusive programs, events, and activities for all <br />Little Canada residents to enjoy.
