Page 2 of 13 <br />AGREEMENTS <br /> <br />1. Responsibility for Design Engineering <br /> <br />1.1. Plans, specifications, and proposals will be prepared in accordance with <br />Mn/DOT State Aid requirements. <br /> <br />2. Procurement and Award of Contract <br /> <br />2.1. The City of Little Canada will take bids in accordance with state law and City <br />procedures. <br /> <br />2.2. The City of Little Canada will prepare an abstract of bids and a cost participation <br />summary based on the lowest responsible bidder’s proposal and will provide the <br />same to the City of Vadnais Heights. <br /> <br />2.3. The City of Little Canada City will request City of Vadnais Heights concurrence <br />to award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />2.4. The City of Little Canada will award a contract and pay the contractor from local <br />funds and be reimbursed by the City of Vadnais Heights with local and <br />Municipal State Aid funds. <br /> <br />3. Responsibility for Construction Engineering <br /> <br />3.1. The City of Little Canada shall perform or contract the performance of <br />the construction engineering for all elements of the Project. <br /> <br />4. Project Costs <br /> <br />4.1. Except as provided herein, the Cities of Little Canada and Vadnais Heights will <br />participate in the costs of construction based as follows: <br /> <br />4.1.1. Street Improvements: all costs prorated based on street centerline <br />within each jurisdiction (49% Little Canada and 51% Vadnais Heights) <br /> <br />4.1.2. Watermain Improvements: each jurisdiction is responsible for <br />improvements made to its system. The emergency watermain <br />interconnect will be shared equally (50% Little Canada and 50% Vadnais <br />Heights). <br /> <br />4.1.3. Sanitary Sewer Improvements: each jurisdiction is responsible for <br />improvements made to its system. <br /> <br />4.1.4. Storm Sewer Improvements: all costs prorated based on street <br />centerline within each jurisdiction (49% Little Canada and 51% Vadnais <br />Heights). <br />
