Page 2 of 13 AGREEMENTS 1. Responsibility for Design Engineering 1.1. Plans, specifications, and proposals will be prepared in accordance with Mn/DOT State Aid requirements. 2. Procurement and Award of Contract 2.1. The City of Little Canada will take bids in accordance with state law and City procedures. 2.2. The City of Little Canada will prepare an abstract of bids and a cost participation summary based on the lowest responsible bidder’s proposal and will provide the same to the City of Vadnais Heights. 2.3. The City of Little Canada City will request City of Vadnais Heights concurrence to award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder. 2.4. The City of Little Canada will award a contract and pay the contractor from local funds and be reimbursed by the City of Vadnais Heights with local and Municipal State Aid funds. 3. Responsibility for Construction Engineering 3.1. The City of Little Canada shall perform or contract the performance of the construction engineering for all elements of the Project. 4. Project Costs 4.1. Except as provided herein, the Cities of Little Canada and Vadnais Heights will participate in the costs of construction based as follows: 4.1.1. Street Improvements: all costs prorated based on street centerline within each jurisdiction (49% Little Canada and 51% Vadnais Heights) 4.1.2. Watermain Improvements: each jurisdiction is responsible for improvements made to its system. The emergency watermain interconnect will be shared equally (50% Little Canada and 50% Vadnais Heights). 4.1.3. Sanitary Sewer Improvements: each jurisdiction is responsible for improvements made to its system. 4.1.4. Storm Sewer Improvements: all costs prorated based on street centerline within each jurisdiction (49% Little Canada and 51% Vadnais Heights).
